Lexi is a Youtube Vlogger and booked a beauty shoot with me so she could have some brand photos. It’s funny because I have been a vlogger for almost 5 years now. So as soon as she revealed this to me, I felt like we were best friends haha. Here is her story:
I got started on YouTube as a viewer of course and then saying, “I can do this as well and tell my story creativity.” My first video was me explaining a photo shoot and concept I did called “Damaged Goods.” The concept was me expressing how I felt about having an absentee father. After that, I fell in love with the camera, but realized I needed to show my personality more.
I picked up on vlogging by watching one of my favorites, Jayla Koriyan TV, who was a college student and chasing her dreams, such as myself at the time. She felt very relatable, so I gravitated towards just picking up the camera and recording any moment in my life such a college, traveling, and adulting. I feel like I’m able to showcase who I am and be more organic and raw by just vlogging, opposed to sitting down and speaking directly to the camera for now.
I would say my YouTube personality is very honest, funny and relatable. I showcase a side of my personality that I don’t let people see often as an introvert. I want people to come to my channel and see me navigating through life like everyone else.
In regards to YouTube, [in 10 years] I see myself having a successful platform we’re I’m able to give a piece of myself to the world and make an impact, whether good or bad. In general, I see myself still very driven and a successful entrepreneur with a brand surpassing just YouTube with fashion.
Yes, Lexi! That last part! I am so happy to have met you, and I really look forward to working with you again :)
